Movement is Medicine: Get Fit When You Work From Home

Movement is Medicine

Movement is Medicine.  All it really takes is a few minutes to make a huge difference to your wellbeing and your overall quality of life. Fitness is so worth your time and if you prioritise it, you will see a real change.

Things you can do at home to get healthier:

Walk

Walking is so good for you.  You don’t need any special equipment, training or much time. Walking is accessible to nearly all, it’s simple and it can be fun.

An easy thing to do is to take short walking breaks throughout the day. If you were to take just 10 minutes out of your day, 3x a day, you’d reach your 30 minutes of aerobic activity. You’d also feel a lot healthier and happier for it.  Try short walking breaks in the day. You’re never alone on your fitness journey. Remember you can stay connected using Fitlink.

Run

Running is easy and doable. Start off with couch to 5k or download an app like Fitlink for motivation. Start off with walking and running. So perhaps you’ll run for 1 minute, and walk for 1 minute then repeat 5 times to start with.

Also, remember that the Fitlink app connects all popular fitness apps together so you’ll be able to link everything into one place.

Strength/ Indoor Workout

Add strength training to your routine and you’ll boost endorphins and slash stress. You’ll also boost your energy levels, improve posture and sleep patterns. Use these simple ideas to get fitter, because movement really is medicine.
